Day 2

Sooo I thought I would take this time to update my blog right now since I have some time to myself right now. So I arrived last night in Singapore with a friend after a gruesome 18 hr flight -> lax to tokyo, then Tokyo -> Singapore. Damnn what was trippy was how I actually met my friend at the tokyo airport instead of at lax, and then travelling together. Damnn small world I must say.

Well enough of that, lets get on to my first full day in Singapore. Well today was just a free day, so a bunch of the UC students just took this time to get to know each other and explore Singapore and just buy some necessary stuff that was required, such as an FRIGGIN ETHERNET CABLE! since most of us can't even connect to the internet at our apt.  I must say Singapore reminds me a lot of China and little bit of Korea, especially weather wise, I swear Singapore has this funky Asian/Chinese smell wherever you go, just like in China, but w/e kind of used to it. From today, all I remember is buncha walking around, sweating, doing some random stuff, but was quite interesting and gave me a good understanding of local cultures and rules and such.

Apt wise, it's nothing like you would ever expect. For college apts, I swear it feels like i'm at a hotel, except when you actually go inside, then its like ehhh... Really STUFFY rooms, and kind of feels as if i'm in a jail haha.... but isn't that bad, get a sick view at least.

oh one funny thing is that in Singapore, people drive on the left side side and the steering wheels are on the right side, kinda funny and trippy, might take a while to get used to it.. haha...

i'll post more later on, pretty tired but for now, enjoy some pictures.

my room for the next couple months

a hose next to the toilet for hmm...u know....

the apt

lemon chicken I believe, and some overly SALTY n MSG overloaded soup...

Sentosa Island: prob less than 30 mins from campus and a quick island getaway resort.

so APPARENTLY it's against the LAW to bring Durian inside subways. best rule I ever heard.
